DESCRIPTION: EPW - Robert Seller, London, gold repoussé verge fusee, 41mm, 18K gold or greater (tested) OF original pair cases, outer with repoussé detail to rear of a seated figure and a winged putto, inner with shuttered winding aperture, white enamel dial, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled balance cock with grotesque mask at neck, s#322. Gross weight of assembled watch 37.9 dwt (58.9 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone, fine scratch at end of signature, some typical micro-fine scratches elsewhere to plates, fine scratches to regulator disk; dial with scattered small edge flaking, tiny scratch inside 6, faint hl from center to 10; excellent hands with finish loss at tips, abrasion to hub of hour; outer case shows light wear, tiny puncture at hand of seated figure, few nicks or mild dings, no dents, good overall engraving detail among lower profile areas but with full loss at highest profile areas, button and latch are evident replacements with good function and button is brass, case closes with a small bit of gap along its right side; inner case shows light wear, scattered dents and dings around sides and rear, pendant junction with evident past repair with some solder excess visible internally and externally; bow pivots freely; domed glass crystal with some fine scratches.
